KeyPhone is a software application that lets you operate a compatible vehicle keyfob from your smartphone. The app is provided by MDBD ("we", "us"). Use of the app constitutes acceptance of these terms.
You may use the app only if you are the legal owner of the vehicle, have been granted explicit access by the owner, or hold a valid trip access code issued by the rental / fleet / service operator. Unauthorized use of the app or commands to a vehicle you do not own is prohibited and may be a criminal offense.
Trip codes are time-limited and may be revoked at any time by the issuer. Once expired, commands will be rejected by our backend.
The app is provided "as is". Bluetooth communication can be affected by environmental conditions, device state and other factors outside our control. Always carry a backup means of accessing your vehicle. We are not liable for missed lock/unlock events, loss of access, or damages resulting from app or hardware unavailability.
The app requires a compatible KeyPhone-enabled keyfob. We do not warrant interoperability with hardware not certified by us. The hardware itself is covered by the manufacturer's separate warranty.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service for abuse, security risk, fraud or violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
